Delete your account

Deleting your account is straightforward and permanent. Here is exactly how it works and what gets removed.

Two ways to delete

Option 1 · Fastest

In the app

Takes about a minute and works immediately.

Open Lingotify and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Settings (the gear icon).
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm by following the on-screen instructions.

Option 2 · By email

Request via email

Can't access the app? Email us with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address linked to your account.

We process email requests within 30 days.

This action is permanent. Once your account is deleted you lose access to all your data, including your songs and learning progress, and it cannot be undone.

What happens to your data

Deleted permanently

Removed from our servers when your account is deleted:

Profile information (name, email, profile picture)
Vocabulary progress and learning history
Custom vocabulary lists and packages
Playlists and liked songs
Quiz results and practice sessions
AI-generated songs linked to your account

Retention

After deletion:

Most data is deleted immediately
Backups may hold data for up to 30 days
Financial records kept as required by law
Anonymized, aggregated analytics may remain

Before you go

If something is broken or not working the way you expect, tell us first. Most problems are fixable, and a real person reads every email, usually within 24 hours.
